Biography
Dr. Adam Golas is a board-certified bariatric surgeon specializing in weight loss and minimally invasive surgery procedures. He is dedicated to liberating patients from obesity and the diseases associated with obesity by providing the most advanced treatments in a caring and nurturing environment. Dr. Golas has overcome much adverity in his life and with that approaches every patient encounter with humility, sincerity, and respect. Through a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Golas and his team focus on the general health of each patient and apply a custom individualized approach for improved health and well-being.
Dr. Golas’s “patient first” approach is evident in his daily practice and reflects values he developed during many years of training. After Receiving his Bachelor of Science and Master's of Public Health from Indiana University in Bloomington, Dr. Golas received his Doctor of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He went on to complete a General Surgery Residency followed by a Bariatric and Minimally-Invasive Surgery Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Golas has served in leadership roles during both his training and practice. He has contributed to a number of scientific publications and his work has been published in many respected journals, including Cancer Research and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases.
